What is CBD (cannabidiol)?

Definition of CBD

CBD , also known as " cannabidiol ", is a compound naturally present in the cannabis sativa plant L called "wellness hemp" in opposition to cannabis indica , the famous "marijuana".

It is one of the many cannabinoids present in hemp, including CBG (cannabigerol), CBC (cannabichromene), THC (tetrahydrocannabinoid), CBN (cannabinol, CBL (cannabicyclol)...

Although cannabis is often associated with marijuana, CBD is absolutely not a drug and its use is legal in France as in Europe, the United States ...

The CBD used in our synergies comes from varieties of hemp whose cultivation is authorized insofar as they do not contain THC, a molecule with psychoactive effects.

Thanks to a study conducted in 1988 at the University of St Louis in the United States by doctors HOWLETT and DEVANE, the interaction between the brain of mammals and cannabis was highlighted.

This manifests itself through so-called neurotransmitter receptors, ie they ensure the passage of information between nerve cells.

Just like mammals, the region of our body that has the most is none other than our brain!

As a result of other more recent studies, the so-called ECS for endocannabinoid system was discovered.

How CBD works in the body

The human body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) regulates many bodily functions , including mood, appetite, sleep, anxiety, memory, immune system.

It therefore directly influences our resistance to disease , and fights against aging .

These receptors are found in the brain , central nervous system , and immune system .

When CBD is consumed, it binds to these receptors to help regulate the inflammatory response and notably reduce pain and anxiety .

By acting on the central nervous system and metabolism via endocannabinoid receptors , CBD helps activate CB1 and CB2 receptors.

Isn't it fascinating to discover that our body and this plant are made to work together in perfect symbiosis?

CB1 receptors are essentially present in the central nervous system (hippocampus, associative cortex, cerebellum, ganglia...) while CB2 receptors are found in the rest of our body (white blood cells, tonsils, liver...).

As a result, CB1 receptors influence pain, sleep, stress... CB2 receptors affect all other types of disorders, in particular cardiovascular, cancerous, cutaneous...

Recent studies have also shown that these receptors participate in homeostasis , that is to say in the regulation of our different systems and our different organs according to external conditions by balancing, for example, body temperature, appetite , sleep or blood pressure.

Properties of CBD

☘️ Pain treatment

CBD has powerful pain-relieving and pain-relieving properties.

It thus has natural benefits against all forms of pain , especially in the following cases:
